From Jon Trennepohl:
I've been asked some questions about the new sport kites I designed for Premier Kites this year. Here are some details I hope you will find helpful.
There are three new kites, the Jewel, the Wolf and the Widow. They are called the Spider series.
First we will start with the Widow which is the same design as the Widow Maker by Sky Burner Kites. The difference is the sail graphics are a little different. The kite is made out of 3/4oz nylon and has no leech line. It has a mylar reinforced trailing edge except outside wingtip. The kite is framed with Sky Shark P-200 wrapped carbon tubes in the leading edges. The spine and lower spreaders are Sky Shark P-300. It has the same 3 point black bridle with top adjuster knots . It comes with a removable tail weight. The kite has a good wind range 4 mph to 20 plus. It comes with a 150 lb Spectra line set and straps. All seams are double fold, the same way we do them at Sky Burner. They use all APA connectors. It comes in a great bag and the price is really fair. This is one of the best all around sport kites I have done. It takes care of the just got started flyer that wants a big wing to learn all the latest tricks but is still controllable and forgiving.
